Volks, >From an ad in a car restorer's magazine I've found a cool source for parts and accessories for classic oldtimers. And they're willing to ship to the USA (but remember the high German postage rates). I've only ordered once, but they were fast and reasonable.
The outfit is Heinrici -- Tools and Accessories for Classics. They're available online (at www.heinrici-klassik.de) but also have a nice print catalog available free for the asking. Sadly, it's only available in German (but I'm willing to help anybody -- I'm a German teacher). They have stuff for English and European oldtimers -- rubber, switches, relays, reproduction mirrors, tool kits, etc. And oddball tools, too: removers for cracked and hardened hoses, crimpers for authentic AMP-Faston connectors (so your harnesses look real), twisters for lockwires, etc. Some of their stuff is USA-sourced (but not most of it), but all of it is aimed at keeping the old look for competition classics, mainly German and English. For what it's worth ... Bert Knupp in Music City USA _______________________________________________ vintagvw site list [email protected] http://lists.sjsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/vintagvw
