I met the man at a talk he gave in Schaumburg years ago. Quite a character.

His monthly articles in one of the electronic magazines I used to get 
were a treat. He will be missed.

He wrecked his original '68 Bug after amassing over 300K on the clock. 
Drove into a cable strung across a dirt road and bent the windshield frame.
