I just procured a true German 1962 drivers side rear fender and while its nicer then the repop (in the sense the bumper bracket and over rider holes are better) it doesn't have the same flare and the metal around where the running board mounts up is identical to the passenger side. Which means its about a half inch of material as opposed to the right sides 1 inch. Plus the flare kick out is totally different.... So what year fenders do I actually have? Heres a photo that illustrates the different in flare...
