Ha ha!  Yup, that’s it.  But in Germany, it’s illegal to drive around in cars 
with POLIZEI on them … unless it really is.  So some guys who’ve restored 
police oldtimers have started putting POZILEI graphics on them!  No law against 
that.  Google it out for some pictures.
In my state, I can’t drive around with a blue light “exhibited” on the roof.  
So I bought a black knit toboggan cap and got a uniform shop to embroider 
AUSSER BETRIEB on it.  That’s “Out of Service” in German.  The car still gets 
lots of smiles.  At a street fair one kid called it “Officer Herbie.” Fun.
