I'm very aware of that. I am & was just pointing it out. It is not truly
text messaging in that it does not use text messages it uses data.

You would really have to send a lot of iMessages for that to really matter.
Well, or have an extremely low data cap etc. a message is literally a few
KB per message. And it also works on Wifi.

Yes, if the devices have IOS5 with the IMessages app installed. Not only
that, but withLion on the Mac, you can chat with Messages, which replaces
IChat. I love starting a conversatio on the computer and finishing it on
my Ipod. I'm pretty sure this features makes use of ICloud.
