I'll have to give it another try. I'm definitely hoping to be proven wrong, 
because while not a bank breaker, it cost more than the average app I'm used to

People are likely to miss out on a lot of the game if they don't take the time 
to look at the info and lore screens. There's a whole lot of background 
information. Also, a lot takes place behind the scenes.
It's not just a choose your own adventure book. You've got to really manage 
your clan and face the long-term consequences of your choices.
If you haven't played in a while, you have also missed out on a lot of updates 
which have improved how Voiceover interacts with the game. A lot of the 
strategy is in the battles and also in how you interact with other clans and 
their stances toward you. It's a leadership game far more than a more 
conventional strategy game.
