I use Vokul on my 3GS and I don't notice the phone slowing down. You don't have to be in the app to use Vokul. If you have multi-tasking turned on, you can wake Vokul up from anywhere. I can use Vokul with or without Voiceover. In fact, I like to use it with Voiceover so I can edit text messages or emails. One way to cut down on extra Vokul verbosity is to turn off extra speech feedback. Hope this helps. ---------- Earle
