Austin, Funny you mention this because I had tried one of the Verbatim keyboards and there was a key I believe the first in the top row that would cause a similar problem on an iPHone 4S. THe problem was for me intermittent . I ended up returning the keyboard not for that reason, but because I could not get used to the number keys which were about half the size of all the letter keys and not in the same location. I think Verbatim has a nice product, but there are some things they could do to improve it. So, back to your question. Yes I have encountered this, but not consistently. I suspect it is a key that is mapped in some odd way that is freaking out either VO or the OS.
