Hello,

The rotor is so integral to the functioning of VO that I would very strongly
encourage you to go in to settings, general, voice over, practice area and
really work at figuring out how to do the rotor consistently without errors and
with one hand.

The two difficult gestures for me were the pinch and the scrub gestures, so I
went in to the practice area and practiced both gestures for several hours
until I could do them 100% of the time without error. It's the continuous
practice which teaches us and sets the knowledge so it becomes automatic.

Besides, doing such practice helps you figure out other interesting things. For
instance, I learned from the practice area that when performing a four finger
tap, only three of the fingers need to be on the half of the iOS device that
you wish to move to. Also, for two and three finger swipes, your fingers do not
need to be in a row. The only thing that is important is that there is a little
separation, and that all the fingers are moving in the same direction.

The practice area is a very handy tool which everyone should take complete
advantage of whenever it seems like the iOS device is not following your
directions. The device will always do exactly as you instruct it. Learn how to
instruct it properly.
