Hi Sieghard and all, Thanks for confirming that this is a problem. I wonder if it only occurs when VoiceOver is running, since Audible tech support apparently hasn't heard about the problem before. I don't know why reinstalling the app would have helped for a few weeks and then stopped helping. Generally Audible is the only app I have open when I'm trying to use it, and given how many apps can be happily coexisting at other times, it's hard to believe that memory is a problem, but maybe Audible is a real memory hog.
Thanks for reporting this to tech support, sieghard. I have attempted to report it via email - I got a note back from tech support after my call, addressing a completely different problem, so the guy I talked to obviously had no clue what problem I was reporting. I wrote it down as clearly as I could; who knows if it will help. If others of you having the problem could also contact tech support, then at least they'd know I'm not the only one with the problem and might be more motivated to do something. Unfortunately, I haven't tried the controls you mentioned, but I will once I'm done reading my current book, when I don't care if I lose my place.
