Hello Anthony I think I know what this might be as I also experienced this:
Sometimes, when typing or doing things around the screen with the apple Keyboard, you do get this banging sound as though he is kicking the wall with his boot! If you press the left and right cursor keys together, you will hear either: "Quick nav on" or "quick nav off". When you get stuck just try that.
