Actually, the idea of having a contact for yourself isn't silly at all. In fact, Siri for the 4s users also uses this idea. One good reason I can think of for having my own contact in my phone is for example I have my cell, my home, and my gv number all under one contact. If someone calls me from home, I have an entry for it rather than my home phone number since I don't live alone. Since I use gv call back for making unlimited cell phone calls via my google number, the phone shows me calling myself. This is better than hearing my number. The list goes on and on.

Hello maria. As far as I can recall, you need to have your contact added
to the address book in order to use it. Wen I used it, I had to create a
contact for myself and it started working. It is sorta silly to have a
contact for yourself but you can always remove it if you are no longer
using the app.
Good luck.

Take care.

Hi list,
I have posted this to another list, so some of you who are there might
have read it.
Please does anyone of you use Heytell?
I've been playing with it for a while and I cannot figure out some
things.
When I click on profile, there are a few options - to sign on twitter,
facebook or to go to my address book to select my contact information
from there.
What if I do not have either twitter or facebook account? I have heard
from someone that it is also possible to put my e-mail address
somehow, but I cannot
find the editbox to put it there.
Is it really necessary to put my e-mail address in my phone
addressbook? It sounds a bit silly for me having my own contact added
in addressbook when I
perfectly remember it. *smiles*
When I open address book, there is something like my number. at first
I thought I could click on it to add my e-mail there, but it does not
work that way.
When I access address book from Heytell, my number contact does not
seem to be there, but I am sure it is stored in address book. I cann
see other contacts
there.
Does anyone know how to solve Heytell thing? Is there any other way to
put e-mail address?
Your help would be very greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Maria
