Teresa and Others, I'm sorry, I had forgotten that the Google Books app had been updated. I've tried flipping pages as well, and no luck. And of course, I didn't pay attention when everyone was talking about how to retrieve an older version of an app...apparently that's what we need to do, unless someone has other ideas for us. What a shame. I have $50 wort of books to read! Carrie
