Hello Danielle, It's a little tricky, but here you go. First, make sure you are in an edit box. Then use the roter to choose the navigation incrament in which you wish to select: characters, words, etc. The navigate to where you wish to start selecting, keeping in mind the way voice over cursers work. Finally, place two fingers close together on the screen and begin slowly moving them apart. If you do this carefully enough, you will hear each character or word spoken as it is selected. If you go too far, bring your fingers slowly back together in a pinching gesture. This will begin deselecting. Like I said, this is a little tricky, but it works with practice.
