That's what I ended up doing. I *hope* that when I delete the last of the books I'm not keeping on from the iPad, it will show up that way in iTunes when I sync again?
I'm child-proofing this iPad, so there are only going to be certain books on it after this weekend. Since I had over 1,200 to get through, I figured I'd better start now. Once I got into it, it moved along--I just remembered to lock the VO keys on the Mac. Beethoven helped, too.
