I miss the plenty good enough of some of the older voices, the British voice on iOs 4.something was quite pleasing, then lost it with iOs5.all.
NVDA did the same, had a good Aussie voice like rolf Harris to start with, then lost it in the updates. Pity we couldn't buy ori mport some of our favourite voices. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neil James" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, May 20, 2012 7:39 PM Subject: Re: VoiceOver Compact Voice On/Off Interesting. I've had the same experience where at least to my ears, the compact voice sounds better then the high quality voice. I will take Neil's advice and switch the high quality voice on and give my iPhone a day or so and see what happens. Also, I wonder if the quality of the high quality voice differs between the iPhone 4 and the 4-s since the 4-s has the faster CPU and could at least in theory run the high quality voice better. I have both phones and will do a side by side comparison and report back.
