Hey there, I don't know about the xm app itself, but you can get music dock. This app allows you to listen to xm channels and is accessible if you have an online account. Just search for "Music Dock" in the app store, without the quotations of course.
You can also access xm channels on OOTunes by searching for "music dock" in that app as well. I haven't tried it yet but hear it streams better there, provided you have an online account -- it'll ask to enter a username and pass word when going to listen to an xm station from what I've heard.
