Ok, it is fair to say we just returned a phone with partial warrantee because of the flaky power button, so it, the phone, was replaced. But yes, accidents or abuse notwithstanding, the buttons are durable. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Grant Hardy" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, May 21, 2012 11:10 PM Subject: re: locking the screen without using the lock button?
Hi Ramy, when the phone is unlocked you can reject calls by locating the ignore button and double-tapping it. When the phone is locked there is no way to reject a call without pressing the POWER button, except that you could press one of the volume buttons to silence any ringer and eventually the call will disconnect. There is no way to lock the screen without tapping on the POWER button, except that depending upon your settings, the phone will auto-lock after a certain period of inactivity. You can change this behaviour in your general settings. I have never heard of a destroyed power button; I think it's pretty durable. From reading many internet forums and Blogs I think that in fact the most vulnerable button is the HOME button.
