Hi,

On your ipad, go into settings, then to store. Under there you will see automatic downloads. There, you need to uncheck books, and whatever else you don't want to have go there automatically when you get something from the store.

Good luck.

Subject: iPad Syncing Trouble

I have set the iPad to "sync selected books" It works, unless I purchase a new book in the iBooks store on the computer. That new book is checked and automatically syncs to the iPad, even though I don't want it to be. I only want new books to sync when I check them, not just because I bought them. I'm trying to keep the iPad kid-friendly, now, and some of the stuff I get I don't want my kid reading. I *do* want it on the iPod, so I don't mind it syncing there, since the iPod is set to "sync all books." Is there anyway to fix this, or do I have to sync the iPad and delete any new stuff I don't want on it imeediately after purchasing a book?

I turned automatic download of books off, I turned iCloud off. I don't know what else to try.

Jane
