Any thoughts? Yeah that's just how IMessage works. If they start the confrence by entering your mailaddress in the "to" field, you'll show up as your mail address in their messages app. I fixed this by deleting the whole confrence and then start a new and then choose the contact from my address book and choose their phone number or mail address which is used for IMessage.
