They are using the Apple BT keyboard, but this app os more for those that have a Mac and an IOS device but do not yet have a blue tooth keyboard. Another reason that someone might want to use this app is if they have more than one IOS device such as an iPhone and a iPad. With this app they could simply use their Mac keyboard with one of these. I think that it works well for being able to use your Mac keyboard to navigate your device.
