Hi,

Actually, those new plans they announced are shared data plans. Each device
you own has a starting base price. I believe it's 40 dollars for a
smartphone, 30 for a feature phone, and 10 for a tablet.

You may want to wait as new pricing plans have been announced by Verizon.
>From what I understand, the plans will offer unlimited minutes and unlimited
texting, and the more devices you own, the cheaper it will be. I called
when I heard the announcement on Tuesday, the day the announcement was made.
It was suggested to wait until the end of June when the plans take effect.
Apparently, the reps knew about as much as the public did, and training was
to be provided on the plans. So I'd suggest checking back around July 1 for
specifics on their new pricing plan options.
By the way, for existing customers, one does not have to give up their
current plan.

Maybe my question is really about GSM versus CDMA. I travel internationally
periodically, and I'd like to keep options open in case I get a job abroad.
Obviously Verizon doesn't work abroad, but I'm wondering if it'd be wise to
go with them domestically being that they don't use sim cards. With GSM
phones, you can unlock them and get a sim card for whatever city in whatever
country.
