Planning to be there.
It has been many years since I've been to the Abbey. I remember cell reception

Does the Abbey have WIFI?
These aren't conditions for my going, but rather indicators of what to bring

Rose that certainly has nothing to do with editing being junk, useless, etc. I
suspect in your case the issue is time and effort balanced against other issues.

Should I do a recording of me editing text on my I touch and or iPad?
Editing on any iOS device works the same. If so, I will in a few days
when I get back to the place where I left my recorder. This is
assuming that nothing comes up, and y'all want a recording. Oh yes,
I'm typing this on the screen of my iPad. LOL.

Hi Brett,

I think this is the link to the DiskAid program for retrieving recordings from
ooTunes that Courtney mentioned:

For students, teachers, and personnel of accredited colleges and universities,
there is also a free DiskAid educational license program:

And yet another option is iPhone Backup Extractor, which will let you
browse your iPhone backups and extract files from there. Ootunes
recordings are backed up to iTunes, so you'll be able to get them from
there. :)

Hi,

You most certainly can burn you track to cd. You have to create a playlist
with those songs in it. I think burn is in the file menu. I think it says
something like burn playlist to disk.

Hope this helps,

Jenn

 Contacts database<http://groups.google.com/group/viphone/t/b1168fbad778ec28>

David Chittenden <[email protected]> Jun 18 08:21AM +1200

Hello,

Actually, just place +(country code)(phone number) one time per number. You can
then use it anywhere in the world you have phone signal. This method even works
with VOIP dialling services.

Examples:
The country code is +1 in the US, so the number in contacts would be
+15555551212 which the phone will then display as +1-5555-555-1212.
I live in NZ with country code +64. Thus, my mobile number is entered as
+64212288288 which is displayed as +64 21 228 8288 in contacts.

called a docking station but to be honest I am not sure. Thanks for all

Bose makes a sound doc which is what I have and love. Its battery gets enough
of a charge to keep your phone or ios device charged when not on ac. the bose
has a payment plan that is very resonable. I also have a logitech that when
plugged into ac will also charge your device.

Yes, it will fit the dresser. It's compact with two speakers built in to one
unit. Between speakers on the left and right is the station to place your
phone/ipod.Sounds great. Comes with a remote. Is portable with some effort. The
unit takes three AA batteries that are useful if you lose power. .
As I said it can work as a speaker for your computer and other mp3 players.
Mine did not come with auxiliary cable but you should be able to purchase it if
you plan to play other devices. AM and FM work great. I don't use the antanaes
that come with it but if you have poor reception you can use them, separate
antaena for AM and FM.
It has an alarm clock and it can play your favorite station or song from your
iPhone/iPod at the desired time. But it is not really accessible so you will
need some help to set it up. Basic functions are pretty accessible without any
help.

Hi

I like the sound of this. What do you have yours sitting on? I was planning on
setting mine on a dresser type of thing. Does this do more than charge the
phone? I have no problem paying just am wondering why the prices of these are
so high. Let me know.

yes, it does and it is called a docking station. Make sure to read the
description closely if you are buying such a thing from ebay. I have been sold
something in the name of a docking station in the past that did not charge the
unit. It just had place to adjust the iPhone.

I now have a JBL On Time Micro Speaker System which is compact and sounds
great. It charges all kind of iPods and iPhones, and is also Great for using
with a computer or other mp3 players using an auxiliary cable. It comes with a
remote control but costs about $200. You will often find it cheaper on amazon.
Last time I checked it was about $90. It seems to be much more information than
you asked for but more you know better you can make choices.

Hope that helps

The current problem is that when I log onto the site and try to print

I use:
MP3 to iPod/iPhone Audio Book Converter converts any number of MP3 files
into one big iPod Audio Book File. The advantage of doing this is that you
can make use of the advanced audio book functionality of your iPod.
Your iPod or iPhone remembers the last position you were listening in your
audio book. So you can alway start listening where you stopped the last
time. Even if you were listening to music or another audio book in the
meantime. Read more about your iPod's Audio Book features .
This feature gets really valuable for audio books consiting of many small
files.
With this software you can combine all this files to a single file and you
don't have to worry anymore on which file you stopped listening the last
time.
MP3 to iPod Audio Book Converter runs on Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista and
Windows 7. There is no version for Mac or Linux yet.

Hi. it's much easier in my opinion to get something that will join your
audio book parts in to 1 book. for the mac i use audio book builder. For
windows i used to use chapter and verse, but any programme that will join
mp3 files would work.

once you have joined all the parts, add it to your iTunes library and tell
iTunes it's an audio book by pressing control, or command i and navigating
to the tab where you cam change the media type to audio book.

anyone who has a better and clearer explanation feel free to jump in.

 Skype -- Two

Eric SS <[email protected]> Jun 15 09:57AM -0400

I have the latest version of Skype on a 4S. I am using credits to make local
calls.

The first issue was present with the older version of Skype. When connected in
a call and entering multiple digits to navigate menus, after about a dozen
entries nothing is accepted. I still hear the tone, but the entry does not work.

My second issue is with the latest Skype. I thought this had been corrected and
is why I finally updated versions. The end call button does not work. I was
finally able to end a call by disabling VoiceOver and tapping until I got the
right button.

Are there fixes to either of these problems?

All thanks for suggestions.
