I have used this app quite a bit and after a run you can calibrate it but you
have to know the actual distance you ran.
I did this on my treadmill. After finishing a run my wife would tell me
the treadmill distance, which was usually longer than what the app said.
Even after doing this after running outside and knowing the exact
distance tthough it is still sometimes off by a few miles.
It isn't exact but it does give you a pretty fair of how far you have
gone.
        Hope this help!
