I checked on my iPod Touch which I use at home with Outlook 2003 and those
options are not there either.
so, likely Microsoft removed those options.
If I can be sure not to completely screw up my work calendar, I may try
switching to a Google Calendar and see if those options come up.

If you manually enter an appointment and mark it busy, then manually enter
another appointment that overlaps the first one, does it warn you about
that?
I know on the 4s, if I use Siri to set an appointment and there is an
overlapping appointment, Siri warns me, but not if I'm manually entering the
appointment.

I use the calendar on the iPhone for my work schedule.
Thanks,
Richard

Nope, the rest of the options are standard in calendar. When I synced with
outlook 2003 a year ago, I only had alert rather than the normal two. So my
guess is that outlook removed the options

Richard, I am sorry, I do use Google Calendar. Well, it is connected, but I
do not access the calendar other than via the IPhone. But, I guess it is
possible those added options are due to that.

One more question about these options I don't seem to have.
I'm using my Calendar with Outlook 2010 on my PC.
Are you syncing your calendar with something other than Outlook 2010?

When I add an event on my calendar, I have:
Title,
Location,
Start and end times,
Repeat,
Alert,
URL,
Notes.

No invitees, free or busy status, nada.

I'm wondering if these options are only available when using an exchange
account.

thanks,
Richard

When you are creating a calendar event or editing one, it shows down under
repeats, invitees, etc.

Hi Eric,
I set up an appointment and selected busy, then I called my iPhone from my
land line. The call went through fine.

I would assume this is just a marker and does not affect the nature of
incoming calls or messages.

Does it make any real difference if I select free or busy? Previously on my
Windows phone, if a calendar event was marked busy, the phone would be

IPhone calendar?
