I've read that PKGBackup is the best Cydia backup solution, but I haven't
tried it yet. It costs $9.99. It backs up all Cydia apps, tweaks and
settings yu made in them, backs them up to Dropbox. You can even schedule
backups.

Hey,
The only jailbreak app I have found that can do a sort of backup is
AptBackup.
This app saves a list of all your apps and after you upgrade or do a restore
you open it again and click the restore button and it will download all of
your jailbreak apps again.

Hi, I used Absinthe on my mac to jailbreak my phone a few weeks ago. It
was very accessible and super easy. I don't have a PC, so I am not sure
how accessible the Windows version is. Now I'm wondering why it took me so
long to jailbreak. Probably because I was scared of bricking my phone.
Most of the apps that have been suggested I already use, but here are a
few additional ones.
BiteSMS -- A messaging app that is packed with features the native
messages app lacks. I think it costs $8.99, but you get a 15-day trial.
WifiSMS -- A tweak you can use when your phone and computer are connected
to Wifi. Simply enter your phone's IP address into a web browser, and you
can send SMS to all your contacts, and read you messages, too. Note that
it will only send text messages, even if you have iMessage enabled.
My3G Lets you fool your phone into thinking it's on Wifi, so you can use
facetime and other apps on 3g. I guess when IOS 6 is released, this app
will be obselete.
5Column Springboard Lets you add a fifth column to your screen, so you can
fit 16 apps on each page instead of 12. Thanks to whoever suggested the
infinite folder app, I think it was called. I didn't know about that one.
:)
Lastly, infinite tweet lets you use twitlonger with the native twitter
app.
If anyone knows of a good app that'll back up all your cydia data, could
you please pass it along? i think going through and reinstalling
everything when i upgrade will be a huge inconvenience.
