I bought this app too and do like it.

The feature to import direct from the web worked, though it is a bit
pedantic about the absolutely full address including the http:// prefix
before it worked. But having done that, the Done button did nothing. I
tapped on the new file too and it said selected, but it did nothing, and
nothing took me back to a main screen or any other screen. I used Home to
close it and re-open it and like all these apps, it was where I left it. So
had to resort to the app manager and delete it from there app switcher if
you like, but starting it fresh got over it, but terrible cumbersome if you
need to download several books. I have tons and can share links to them if
there's a demand. Project Gutenberg can supply endless .txt books too of
course.

This could be as useful as the old DOS readit app from years ago, if it does
all the things it is meant to, reliably and simply.

But yes, when I got to read the file of over 100k, it went from paragraph
to paragraph using blank lines as block markers. This appealed to me given
it was my poetry book I'd loaded, so it did quite good with the metre of the
verses.

I tried to contact the authors/developers to point out my issue, another
Italian product I note, no response yet, but too soon too.

R!

Hi,

I agree that ILike2Read is the best app for reading text files. All the
other apps that can do text files do not remember your place in the file and
don't let you navigate in them properly. You can only skip by large chunks.

The only issue with ILike2Read is that to import the text file it must be
zipped first, which is often not the case with text files since they are
quite small when you download them from the web.

Cheers,

Brett.

Hi.

It is not expensive, I can not remember the price 1 or 2 dollars I think..

Ilike2read is a great app, and you can also open a file from a mail if you
have send the file to yourself, as I often do, that has been made possible
in the last update of Ilike2read.

Best regards Annie.

Oh that sounds cool. Is it a free app? If not, how much does it cost?

Thanks,

Hi, the app called ILike2Read should read these files just fine. Note the
spelling of the app. You can either use iTunes file sharing to import the
files, or you can email a zip file containing the text files to yourself,
and when you open the zip file attachment from your phone, choose to open it
with ILike2Read.

Good luck.

I have a number of books that are either ".txt" or ".brl". Which app would
