Hi,

It will not work there either, as Sprint uses same radio chips as Verizon
does, although it is economical from billing perspective.

Here's the rule of thumb:

. iPhone 4: there are two versions out there, one made to run on
chips used by AT&T (called GSM) and another one designed for Verizon-like
chips (called CDMA).

. iPhone 4S: It can work on both GSM and CDMA chips, hence it is
called "world phone".

. Whatever the upcoming one might be: rumor has it that it'll have
"official" 4G cell radios (termed LTE, or Long Term Evolution). iPad III has
this chip on some machines, but the connection standard is optimized only
for some parts of the world - other countries use different LTE frequencies.

GSM (Global System for Mobile communication; the word is actually French in
origin) and CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) is termed 3G, while LTE is
termed 4G. Whereas GSM uses SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) so you can swap
phones, CDMA requires different methods for phone activation. Word has it
that LTE will use something similar to SIM. iPhone 3GS uses so-called mini
SIM (found on majority of phones) while 4 and 4S uses smaller micro SIM
chips on GSM networks like AT&T (there is a tutorial out there that teaches
how you can convert a mini SIM to micro SIM).

Cheers,

Joseph

Unfortunately, it won't, since what Joseph said is correct.

Hi,

No, will not work on Verizon, as it uses different radio chip. Sorry.

Cheers,

Joseph

Hi all.

I'm asking as i am considering selling an iPhone 4 that was used on AT&T to
a friend, but she has Verizon. So, will my iPhone that I've used on at&t
work on the Verizon network as well?
