Hi Suzanne, Unless someone here has actually removed them and has had it go well, I can tell you it's not going to be an easy process. Yes, you do want to remove your phone from the case completely. You then need to remove the screen protector. The Otterboxes are tricky because you're applying our overlay on top of the plastic sorta screen protector that comes with the case. I can tell you that the display (the plastic screen protector on the Otterbox) does pop in and out. I would recommend popping that out, removing the overlay and re-sticking it properly, (after insuring the surface is clean,) and then putting the display back in place in the case. Then, you can put your phone back in. Hope this helps. Amy Billman Check out my company for your screen protector and phone accessory needs! Having not been the one to put my phone in this case in the first place, I'm wondering if someone could describe the process of getting the screen protector off. Specifically, I know I need to remove the rubber shell, the outside layer of protection. But do I need to also take my phone the rest of the way out of the hard shell case before removing the SpeedDots overlay? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
