Here's how I do it.
1. In your recent call list, find the number that you want to add to your
contacts.
2. Flick right once to the More Info button, thhen double-tap.
3. In the resulting More Info screen, you'll find options to call the
number, create a new contact, add to an existing contact, et cetera.
4. When you activate Create New Contact, you'll see the typical dialog that
you use when creating a new contact. Fill in any necessary information.
You may also need to tap the buttton that lets you specify whether it's a
mobile number, home, work, an iPhone and so on. If I want to do a quick and
dirty add to contacts, I don't usually mess around with that.
This should get you in the ballpark. Hope it helps.
