Hi james. I'm a long time window-eyes user myself. Sonsidering that the two
systems are very different from one another, access on the mac is better over
all than access on a pc with window-eyes. Window-eyes has been allowed to
stagnate, where-as voiceover has received major upgrades every 18 months for
the past 5 years. Email, web browsing, and managing of appointments and
contacts are all much friendlier on the mac than on the pc. Advanced word
processing is a bit lackluster. Ocr is expensive and ineficient but working. No
system is perfect, but i'm using a mac to keep track of my business and in all
other respects it has completely replaced my pc.

I think the mac mini would be a good bet for you. Maybe add a small 4 chanel
surface controller such as an alesis multi-mix.

Hope this helps.

ok. yesterday i posted a question about recording from multiple channels and
microphones. i understand mac computers are really good with audio recordings.
i have always been a pc user and am wondering how accessable mac computers are?
i want to create podcasts with a microphone and be able to have music playing
in the background. i want it to be pretty good quolity.

i know the iphone and ipad are both very accessable. as stated above, i use a
pc with window eyes. so two part question.
1. how accessable are mac computers and the mac OS?
2. any suggestions on which mac i should get for doing what i stated above?
createing podcasts consisting of my recorded voice with music playing in the
background? this is presuming that mac computers accessable.

keep in mind that i am completely blind.
