Nowe this gives real weight to the gossip as having  a basis in truth, I 
find this entirely credible. I wonder if this is the means by which they 
withdraw the iPod finally?

And isn't the kindle fire a 7-inch device?  If so, apple can't stand it that
amazon has been able to sell so many kindle fires, and they want some of
that market.

Hi, for what it's worth, I would be in the 7" iPad camp. I can see many
uses for a device of this size. Bigger than an iPod/iPhone, but smaller
than the large iPad. This would be perfect for me and my kids when
traveling to watch movies or play games on the road. Plus I know my 7
year old boy would be so happy I'd have to wipe the drool off.
