There's an app called Type in braille, but I didn't find it very
intuitive. With this app you have to type each row of the braille cell
individually which, in my case at least, meant I had to think way too
hard about what I was typing.

Fleksy is good, easier to use imo, but still has some limitations.

What about using a BT keyboard with the iPad rather than an app for
entering text?
