Hi. The keyboard is super easy to pair. You might want to check out their website because a good description of the keyboard and instructions is given. As far as comparing it to the Apple keyboard, it does not compare because of the size. This is a small keyboard with 66 keys on it. The keyboard is the size of the iPhone and in order to use it comfortably, you might need to learn how to thumb type. At least this is how I use it. However if you are comparing it to the Apple keyboard in terms of the EEs of connectivity, then it is very easy just like the Apple keyboard. I hope this helps.
