OK Richard,
I note from your last that prizmo is now working for you, so I am in no
doubts at all that you will be able to master SayText. It was always the fact
that one could take a shot, using Prizmo, much closer to the text than with
Saytext. For this: I always recommended prizmo as the easiest of the scanning
options. but because Saytext takes the shot automatically, then, like Prizmo,
with which one can use the voice, no extra judder is caused by tapping or
pressing buttons. Indeed, Perfect Ocr works, probably, because you are invited
to take three shots, so maybe, one of them will have less judder than the
others, but I find the whole interface of Perfect OCR rather clunky.
So, now that you are the prizmo Prince, how can we get you into the higher
echelons of the SayText aristocracy!!
You asked about time, how long it takes me to hear the beeps and
thereafter, the shutter sound: so I betook myself into the kitchen where, upon
the table, lay a letter, typed, on foolscap. Ifired up SayText, positioned the
phone, tapped the "take Picture" button and quick as a knife! Lifted that
iphone, somewhere above a foot high, instantly heard the beeps, the shutter
and did no more. Here is the result, address removed of course, but I wanted to
demonstrate that actually time is not a factor, it is the height, the
horizontal plane and the steadiness of hand, all of which I know you can mange
because you can do it with prizmo.
Read and weep for our pitiful Broadband provision!
