Hi Shawn,

I can't help you much with landscape mode since I mostly use Fleksy in
Portrait mode. However, if you turn your phone Fleksy will automatically go
into landscape mode and tell you if you have the home button on the left or
the right. I did try this because I played around with typing with multiple
fingers, almost like regular typing, it's almost possible, but the iPhone is
a bit too small. I could see how you really could do this on an iPad with
Fleksy.

As for your question about the swipe right for more options, the options
referred to are those you mentioned, "Instructions", "email", "Message",
Twitter", Clear" etc. I highly recommend you tap on the Instructions button
and read through those since everything is explained quite well.

As for the list of suggestions, those you simply get by swiping down after
you swipe right. If you swipe right and the word spoken is not the word you
wanted, swipe down to hear the other suggestions. Example, type "Hello" and
if Hello is spoken swipe down, it's very likely your next suggestion is
"group" or, if "group is spoken instead of "Hello" then it is quite likely
that "Hello" will be your first suggestion in the list.

The Favourites in settings is an edit field and right now all you can enter
in that field is a continuous listing of either email addresses or phone
numbers separated by a comma. This will result in those email addresses and
phone numbers showing up above the "email", "Message" etc. options. Tap an
email address you entered as a Favourite and the mail app will open, the
text you typed will be inserted and the person's email address will be in
the "To" field. Basically it saves you from typing an email address or
selecting one from Contacts once the mail app opens. The same goes for phone
numbers and text messages. I think it's a somewhat cumbersome way to add
efficiency especially since if you add let's say 20 favourites and you want
to tap on "email" because you are sending an email to somebody else, you
have to swipe past all those 20 favourites. I think it's really designed for
a few entries, otherwise it would have made a lot more sense to have at
least the 3 or 4 main options (Email, Message, Copy and Clear) in front of
the Favourites rather than the other way round. I wrote to the developers
and pointed this out and I was told that once iOS 6 comes out Apple gives
developers better tools to interact with the Contacts and it sounds as if
there will be true integration with the Contacts everybody already has on
their phone at that point.

Keep in mind that this is just the first release and an update has already
been submitted to the app store and should be available in a few days. This
update will add the ability to manually capitalize letters and to both
export and import the custom dictionary, but even as a first release Fleksy
works great and the developers are extremely responsive. I sent an email in
with some suggestions and feedback last night at 11:41 PM and received a
reply at 11:48 PM, 7 minutes later.

I think you just have to keep on practicing, I think the only time this app
does not help is if somebody really has no special awareness, i.e. if you
are not able to tap at one place and then tap higher or lower and to the
left or the right, but I think if somebody experiences this issue they will
find using an iPhone in general very difficult since this sense of where
things are on the screen is important even when you want to find an app on
the home screen, a button you know is in a certain position etc. I think
many people on this list know that if "Messages" is in their top row on the
home screen and the third app from the left where that is, I rarely miss an
app more than maybe by one and since I know that if I touch Settings and
want Messages I just have to move a tiny bit left since Messages is in the
same row as Settings and just to the left.

Lastly regarding the sluggishness of Voiceover. I suggest you ask the
developers, you can email [email protected] and maybe they have some ideas.
I have a 4S and have not noticed anything like this nor do I remember
anybody else posting with this problem and I read most of the probably
hundreds of Fleksy messages. Maybe there is another reason, but you can
always delete Fleksy and see if the problem goes away and then resync with
iTunes or redownload the app, once you buy it you can go to the "Purchased"
section after you open the app store and simply redownload/reinstall it and
you will not be charged again.

Regards,
Sieghard
