You can put the ones you don't want on page four or five, out of the way.
You can also take the stock wiget out of your notification center.

I would like to remove, among other things, the stocks folder and the
pictures folder from my iPhone 4S.

While I found many of my applications in the settings area, I didn't find
those and haven't been successful in removing it using the other method
suggested the other day.

Is there a reason why these folders either can't or shouldn't be removed?
