Hi Steve. First of all, you need to get a Magic Jack account which includes picking your number and that has to be done on their web site. When I got the app, I already had that account and just installed the app and it had a couple of text boxes in which I had to put in my user name and password for my Magic Jack account.
It showed me my Magic Jack number and it started working immediately. I didn't like the fact that the keypad said the word up before each number. Something like up1 up2 or up3. I used the 2 finger double tap to rename each button and everything is working very well. What I would do is make sure the account has been created properly, that you have selected and got a number and then I would remove the app and install it again.
