I think it's much simpler just to go to the app switcher, double tap and
hold the first item you find and from then on you can just double tap each
app to delete it from the switcher and you'll move onto the next one. No
flicking right. It's easy enough to find the Dismiss App Switcher when
you're told there are no more apps.

Jody, here's how I to delete from app switcher. It sounds
complicated when I write it down but it's really not.
Maybe somebody else has an easier way.
1. go to the home screen. then, double click your home
button and you will hear "app switcher."
2. Flick to the right and then left to. Get a sense of
the app switcher layout. On the left should be "dismiss
app switcher." Each flick right should land you on one
of the open apps. Double tap on one of the apps and hold
your finger in place until you hear "editing apps." Then
lift your finger. You are now in an editing apps mode.
3. Now, flick right and left through the open apps,
double tapping each one without holding your finger. You
should hear the little clicky sound as the app closes.
Double tap "Dismiss App Switcher."
Note: this should work on all of the apps in the app
switcher except for the last one you opened prior to
entering the app switcher. For example, say you did some
email, followed by surfing a web site, followed by
checking weather. You should be able to enter the
"editing app switcher" mode by double tapping and holding
any app in the app switcher other than weather. I am told
it is a good idea to regularly clear out your app
switcher; don't know if it is true but I hear tell it
helps with battery life. HTH

I ran into the same issue when I installed it on my iPad.
This happened for me after the app sent me to Safari to
authorize the app through Facebook.
I shut both safari down and voice book vo. I cleared
them both from the app switcher as well. Then I
re-opened voice book VO. I got the message about the app
being for people using voiceover. I clicked the Ok or
whatever button it was to close the message and all
seemed fine after that. i have not updated the app on my
iPhone yet. I just ran out of time today. I hope to get
to it tomorrow so I can pay for the ability to post and
such. :)

I downloaded voicebook and I got through the first
screen and I heard 'refreshing with Facebook ' and now
it seems stuck and I can't seem to do anything. I have a
4s with latest iOS. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jo
