Hello, Actually, some apps place the sound output in the earpiece rather than the iPhone speaker. When running one of these apps and then leaving the app by pressing home, the command for the iPhone sound to remain in the earpiece remains active until you do enough tasks that the memory manager closes the app completely. It is quicker to go in to the app switcher, double-tap and hold on an app name until you hear VO say editing apps, and then double-tap the app which has locked your sound in the earphone to remove it from the active memory.
