I agree the iPod is horrible in terms of its internal speakers one reason of
me selling it and investing in an iPad in the future.

The internal speaker on the iPod is the worst I've ever heard from an
iOS device. The iPad seems to be the best. However, with external
speakers, I don't really notice a difference between the 2, or the
iPhone for that matter.
