Hi all, I sent this by accident before I renamed the subject line and added another comment. Sorry about that, but this is the email you should read.
As this microphone was referenced in an earlier email, I thought I would give you a taste of what it might sound like. I do not have the microphone, but I do have the Zoom H4N recorder whose very microphones are used in the Zoom IQ6. Since this was recorded on the zoom and not on the iPhone, keep one thing in mind. The sound you hear will be reasonably close to what you would get using a recorder like BossJock which allows one to bypass the microphone electronics of the iPhone, iPad, etc. It will not have as much low end on recording apps that do not allow this to be done, but the upper end should be about the same. I am sure someone, perhaps even Neal, might do a similar file when they get the actual microphone. There are two parts to this recording. Part one is my simply talking into the microphones in a very quiet room. It is actually a part of the Zoom H4N podcast I did a number of years ago and is not about the IQ6, but I wanted you to hear the sound of the microphone. Part two is a car going down my street to give you an idea of stereo spread.
