Yes, it connects to 4 BT and oneUSB device. It does connect to the Mac but they're not promoting this because there is akind of complicated issue about emulation if you want to connect to both the Mac and an Iphone. So to keep things less complicated, they're just not commenting on the mac. Apple has the power to fix it by releasing the iOS drivers for the varioultra and the Mac which apple says are finished but not released. And Baum has a solution in the works too as I understand it. As to whether anything is better than anything else, it really depends on what you want to do. I was all set to get the BrailleEdge because I really don't need the features of the full notetakers or the price of them, but when I saw this I changed my mind. There are some definite issues with the first version of the firmware. All those details are a little more than is appropriate for this list. You can go to http://baumusa.com to read about the features and they have a very low traffic mail list you can join. Even with its etry level quirks, I really am pleased. But it is version 1.0 of the firmware so there are more bugs than a novice would like.
