Hi,
Bookshare is a resource that started because blind people were scanning books
and wanting a way to share them with others so they didn't have to scan the
same book for themselves.
You have to be unable to use a standard print book to join Bookshare the books
are in DAISY text format or BRF format.
Over the last several years, Bookshare has been able to get a lot of publishers
to provide them electronic copies of their books so no scanning is involved,
which means there are vertually no errors in the books. Plus, they have raised
their standards on books that are scanned by individuals so that books added in
the last few years are truly in excellent shape.
It cos $50 per year to join, though it is free for students.
At this moment, they have over 300 thousand titles to choose from.
Thanks to Voice Dream Reader, I now do the majority of my reading with books
from Bookshare.
I'd encourage you to check it out.

Richard
