Hi Andy: This was the problem exactly!! I unmuted the mic, and tried making a call, and the person could hear me just fine! Thanks for the help and letting me know about this muting the mic thing!! Alan, unfortunately, I have no idea about the inserts as I just got mine a few days ago. I would just search on walmart.com or target.com or bestbuy.com for Plantronics inserts or something like that. I can't imagine they would be that much. Hope this helps you. Thanks, Kerri
