Are you using the app on an iPhone or one of the devices?

And it's Kindle, not Kendle.

There is a field in one of the menus of the app that will give you
location. But often this just tells you the percentage of the book
you've read. In some books it will give a page number, but I have no
idea if these page numbers, when they do appear, are print page
numbers or something else.

You might be better off finding out whether you are reading to the end
of a chapter or section. That would be a more reliable way of making
sure you've read the entire assignment.
