I had never been asked that before, which is why I put it to the list. Even
when speaking to Apple about it, they said they would only ask for that if I
were re setting or doing something more than I was doing.
I'm glad to hear from someone that this is indeed one of the things
they might ask. I will go back now and look at the security questions I
answered to verify my identity.

Has anyone ever been asked for their birthdate when speaking with Apple
support?
I called Apple a week or so ago because I was locked out of my sister's
purchase page for some unknown reason. I've called them before and was asked
specific security questions, but this time I was asked for my birthdate. I
stupidly gave it to them without questioning it, but later wondered if I'd
ever been asked that before. The man on the other end of the phone even
claimed that was also his birthday.
