Hi,

I just talked to Verizon at 800-922-0204 and they reduced my monthly plan 
charge ;by $10 per month.

I called and asked for this because I heard on some national news broadcast 
earlier this week that Verizon was doing this, but that customers needed to 
call and ask for this.

I called and got the usual voice prompts. I entered prompt 4 for "Other" 
issues. It then asked me why I was calling, and I said "New monthly plan."

It then gave me 4 options about increasing or decreasing my monthly minutes. I 
didn't want any of these, and finally started hitting the 0 key repeatedly. I 
was then transferred to a live person, explained the reason I was calling, and 
she said she could make the change for me, apparently active on my next billing 
cycle. I was a little surprised when saying she could do it, she said, "It's 
only reducing it by $10 per month", like that is an amount not worth worrying 
about. Nevertheless, I reiterated I wanted to save the $10 per month, and she 
made the change for me. Hmmmmm, it seems to me that saving $10 per month is 
$120 per year, a not insignificant amount of money in my book.
