Hi Ann, I think, as Lynda remarked, you're asking about the Kindle app
(spelled with an "I"). If you pause your continuous reading with a two
finger tap, you can use the rotor to read by character, word, or line, on a
single screen. There's no way to read one line at a time in continuous
reading mode, or to read line by line without using the rotor, for those
using Braille devices.
