Right you are, Don.  This kind of global search function is very
helpful.  I'm closely watching an iOS text editor called Byword, which
has very good VoiceOver support.  Its developer says a "search and
replace" function is coming to the app soon.  I hope it supports
searching and replacing across files, or, at least, searching across
files.
